Saturday School welcomes children aged from 3 to 12 years old and adults from French speaking/bilingual families.
The aim of the School is to encourage the desire and pleasure of communicating in French with new friends in a warm environment. Qualified teachers offer a program focused on Francophone culture and language development through activities that are both structured and fun.
Since the sessions take place completely in French, it is essential that children understand French and that French is regularly used in their surroundings.
Kindergartens: These classes are aimed at children between 3 and 4 years old providing they are potty trained. They are based on “learning through play” in a French environment with an introduction to the French alphabet and sounds provided in the 4-year-old class.
Classes for children in primary school: the principal objective is to provide a French environment to children who are immersed in Australian schools and to encourage their French speaking through conversation around storytime, board games. The children are encouraged to share their opinions on subject matters and communicate more confidently in French. A part of the session is also assigned to help develop and improve their reading and writing skills.
